LEARN HOW TO PREPARE & COOK SEAFOOD LIKE A PROFESSIONAL

On this one day course you'll be using the freshest seafood and classic flavours to discover some of Rob's favourite dishes and how to create restaurant quality dishes at home. With over 30 years experience as a chef and UK Chef Ambassador for Seafish, the authority on seafood, you can be sure you're in safe hands.

All courses are bespoke with a maximum of 8 guests so you'll get Rob's attention at all times.

COURSE DISHES COULD INCLUDE

Fresh mussels mariniere 

Fillet of smoky mackerel with pickled ginger vegetables, charred watermelon,wasabi creme fraiche and seaweed cracker.

Classic sole a la meuniere 

Whitby crab cocktail with spicy seafood sauce, brown crab pate, tempura of claw and toasted sourdough

Queen scallops cooked in the shell with Parma ham, pesto & Parmesan

Professionally learn how to fillet and prepare fish

Live shellfish preparation and cooking

Pan frying

Grilling

Sauce making 

Basic knife skills

YOUR VENUE

The Arches Cookery School is set in the North York Moors National Park and based close to Whitby and a spectacular coastline, surrounded by a wonderful rural landscape full of ancient woodland and heather moorland.

ON THE DAY

10.00am Arrive at the Arches Cookery School for tea and coffee and meet Rob for a briefing on the course

10.30am Put on your apron and lets get cooking!

12.00 Break for lunch eating one or more of your creations

12.45 Resume course

2.15 Brief comfort break

2-30 Resume course

3-30 Course ends

Please contact Rob Directly and NOT the Arches. A non refundable 20% deposit is require to secure a place, with the balance due 1 week before the event. All dishes are subject to change, a suitable alternative will be substituted.
